inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (Polda Metro Jaya) has postponed Operation Patuh Jaya, but ensured that daily enforcement and monitoring of traffic violations on the highway will continue as usual.

"Operation Patuh has been postponed, but routine activities will continue as usual," said the Director of Traffic for the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Komarudin, Monday (6/8/2026).

He explained that the public should not assume that the postponement of Operation Patuh Jaya means lax oversight in the field. The police continue to prioritize three main pillars in maintaining daily traffic order: preemptive, preventive, and law enforcement activities.

According to the Director of Traffic, daily law enforcement continues to target violators, both through electronic systems and direct persuasive action.

"Law enforcement such as static and mobile ETLE (Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement), warnings, and ticketing for violations that have the potential to threaten safety will continue," he emphasized.

Regarding the reasons for the postponement and the new schedule for Operation Patuh Jaya, the Traffic Directorate did not elaborate further, including regarding preparations for Bhayangkara Day. However, he confirmed that the special-scale operation was simply a matter of timing.

"The operation is included in the annual activity plan; it's just a matter of timing," said Komarudin.

Meanwhile, the Traffic Directorate of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police urged all levels of society not to neglect safety and to continue to comply with traffic regulations for the benefit of all and for the safety of all on the road.

Previously, the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate deployed 2,798 joint personnel for Operation Patuh Jaya 2026, which was held simultaneously from June 8 to 21, 2026.
