Inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Jambi Regional Police, the Muaro Jambi Sub-regional Police and a joint emergency task force tackled a 20-hectare peatland fire in Sungai Aur Village, Muaro Jambi Regency, on Saturday (12/9/2026).
Led by Jambi Police Operations Director Senior Superintendent. Vendra Riviyanto, officers inspected response equipment at the Manggala Agni Post in East Tanjung Jabung before initiating field fire fighting using peat injectors, backpack sprayers, and specialized X-Fire solution.
"Our Police Chief emphasized that fire response must be rapid, measured, and integrated," said Jambi Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent. Erlan Munaji. "Deploying peat injection devices and X-Fire chemical solution reflects our effort to use the most effective methods against peatland blazes."
Authorities urged residents to refrain from clearing land using fire during hazardous weather conditions.
