Inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. Led by Chief Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar, the Jambi Regional Police hosted a strategic coordination meeting on Wednesday (8/7/2026) to launch a comprehensive, cross-sector declaration to eradicate violent street gangs. 

"The eradication of street gangs cannot rely solely on law enforcement," he said. "We must move together through education, prevention, mentoring, rehabilitation, and the collaboration of all elements of society."

The high-level forum brought together Jambi Governor Al Haris, local councillors, military units representatives, educational representatives, and community leaders to build a unified response against organized juvenile street violence.

The declaration comes amid rising public anxiety over escalating gang clashes and physical assaults that have led to fatalities. Beyond law enforcement, the strategic roadmap integrates rehabilitation and public education.

The Jambi administration backed the joint initiative, committing to creating youth spaces and counseling programs to deter criminal behavior.
