Inp.polri.go.id - Jambi. The Jambi Regional Police prepared multi-layered security measures for the Presisi Merdeka Run 2026 on Saturday (8/8/2026) to ensure safety for 8,750 participating runners.

"All stakeholders share the same commitment to make the event a success so that the public and participants feel safe and comfortable," said Jambi Regional Police Chief Inspector General Krisno H. Siregar.

Police deployed 1,448 officers across strategic locations, including start and finish lines, intersections, race routes, and parking areas. Officers managed traffic diversions, supported medical needs, and provided public information services. 

Chief Siregar apologized for temporary traffic adjustments, emphasizing that officers would prioritize a humane approach to ensure minimal disruption to daily public activities while showcasing Jambi as a secure and professional host for national events.
