Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck off the southwest coast of the Aru Islands, Maluku, on Tuesday morning (21/7/2026) at 7.10 am.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) reported that the epicenter was located 67 kilometers southwest of the Aru Islands at coordinates 6.03° South Latitude and 133.67° East Longitude, with a depth of 14 kilometers. 

"This information prioritizes speed, so data processing results are not yet fully stable and may change as complete data becomes available," BMKG said via its official X account.

No initial reports of structural damage or casualties were issued following the offshore seismic activity.
