inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Manpower Yassierli ensured that the social security rights of victims of the accident between the Cikarang Commuter Line and the Argo Bromo Anggrek trains in Bekasi on April 27th have been fulfilled.
"We will continue to monitor this process until all the rights of the heirs are fulfilled without bureaucratic obstacles," said Yassierli on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
As of Monday (May 4th), nine of the 16 victims who died had received social security benefits.
Yassierli explained that the total compensation includes Old Age Security (JHT) of approximately IDR 197.28 million, Death Security (JKM) of IDR 42 million, and Work Accident Security (JKK) of IDR 2.02 billion. In addition, scholarships for six children with a maximum value of IDR 458.5 million are being provided, along with regular Pension Security (JP) benefits.
"This demonstrates the government's commitment that social security protection does not stop at workers, but also extends to the families they leave behind," said Yassierli.
Of the nine victims who have received compensation, eight are BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants at several branch offices in Jakarta, while one is registered in South Tangerang.
Compensation has been distributed in installments from April 29 to May 4, 2026. The remaining three victims are still in the process of completing administrative matters and verifying their heirs.
