inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Vice Minister of Population and Family Development/Deputy Head of the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN), Ratu Ayu Isyana Bagoes Oka, emphasized the importance of raising the distribution of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and non-PAUD (3B) toddlers.
"I hope the number of MBG 3B recipients can be raised because currently, there are still several Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) that have not allocated funds for 3B. This step is necessary because providing MBG for 3B is one way to achieve President Prabowo's vision and mission of achieving Indonesia Emas 2045 by preventing stunting in the First 1,000 Days of Life (HPK)," explained Isyana on Monday (4/6/2026).
She hopes that the distribution of MBG to 3B targets, which was previously only distributed on Mondays and Thursdays, can be provided daily to 3B targets, with a healthier wet food menu and avoiding dry food containing ultra-processed foods.
For the record, the Ministry of Education and Culture/BKKBN holds the mandate to distribute the MBG 3B, as stipulated in Presidential Regulation No. 115 of 2025 concerning Governance of the Free Nutritional Meals Program, Article 47.
Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) stated that there will be derivative regulations from Presidential Regulation No. 115 of 2025 concerning governance of the program to improve the implementation of the MBG program for 3B going forward.
"For 3B, there are no changes whatsoever because it is already running well. However, improvements need to be made because providing the MBG for 3B is crucial for determining the future of our children, and ultimately the future of Indonesia," said Zulhas
The government also ensured accelerated steps to improve the implementation and effectiveness of the MBG Program, particularly regarding improvements in the governance of SPPG.
