Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police has arrested a 25-year-old suspect for the murder and robbery of an online motorcycle taxi driver in Tangerang on Sunday. 

The joint task force arrested the suspect early Tuesday morning (14/7/2026) at a rented house in Penjaringan, North Jakarta, where they seized key evidence, including a knife and the victim's phone.

"The team has secured a man identified as RD, who has been named a suspect in the alleged murder of an online motorcycle taxi driver and violent theft resulting in death," said Metro Jaya Police Criminal Investigation Director, Senior Superintendent Iman Imanuddin.

The arrest followed a rigorous investigation involving crime scene analysis, witness testimonies, and CCTV footage review. 

Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintenent Budi Hermanto urged the public to immediately report any criminal activity or security concerns by visiting the nearest police station or calling the 110 police hotline.
