Inp.polri.go.id - Bekasi. A patrol team from the Mobile Brigade (Brimob) of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police prevented a street brawl in Bojong Menteng, Rawalumbu, early Tuesday morning (16/6/2026). 

Officers arrested 18 teenagers and seized dangerous items, including a Molotov bomb.

Metro Jaya Police’s Head of Brimob Unit Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto emphasized that preventive patrols are vital to stop violence before it harms the public. 

“We are committed to protecting citizens from street crime and ensuring safe public spaces,” he said.

The operation began around 4.15 am during routine patrols against brawls, illegal racing, and street crime. Officers spotted a group of youths suspected of preparing for a fight on Jalan Lisong Menteng. All suspects and evidence were handed over to the Bekasi City  Metropolitan Sub-regional Police investigators.

Confiscated items included one Molotov bomb, five motorcycles, and ten mobile phones linked to the planned clash.

Chief Henik urged parents to monitor their children’s activities, especially at night, and encouraged residents to report security threats via the Polri Call Center 110.
