Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police deployed a full-scale security operation to secure the state visit of the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and the First Lady. 

"The Metro Jaya Police has deployed 585 joint officers from the regional and sub-regional police levels to secure the series of state visits by the President of the Federal Republic of Germany," said Metro Jaya Police Head of the Public Relations Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto in an official statement on Monday (15/6/2026). 

The officers were stationed at various strategic choke points to ensure all international diplomatic agendas running on Monday proceed safely and smoothly.

The large-scale security operation combines internal police reinforcements led directly by the Metro Jaya Police headquarters.  To maintain the safety of the state entourage, traffic police have implemented tight escorts and temporary traffic management schemes along key main roads. 

Authorities confirmed that they will not enforce permanent road closures along these routes to mitigate gridlock and preserve public mobility for Jakarta residents. Instead, highly limited, situational closures will take effect only as the presidential motorcade passes through, with officers immediately reopening lanes afterward.
