Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police has committed to a full and transparent investigation into the acid attack against Andrie Yunus, Deputy Coordinator of the Commission for Disappeared Persons and Victims of Violence (KontraS).
"Our primary focus is to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this criminal act through a rigorous scientific crime investigation approach," said Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto the Head of Public Relations for Metro Jaya Police, on Sunday (15/3/2026).
Following a direct mandate from President Prabowo Subianto and Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, the case has been elevated to a top priority.
A joint task force from the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police and the Criminal Investigation Agency is currently analyzing forensic evidence and security footage to track the suspects.
To ensure public participation and witness safety, the police have established a dedicated complaint center and launched a 24-hour hotline. Authorities have guaranteed full protection and confidentiality for any individuals providing information that leads to the resolution of this case, which is being viewed as a significant threat to democratic expression and public security.
