Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate of Vital Object Security of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police distributed 500 boxes of ready-to-eat meals to residents impacted by a fire at Pasar H. Jiung market, Kebon Kosong, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.

The meals were prepared at a field kitchen established near the evacuation site. 

“We sympathize with the victims of the Kemayoran fire. This field kitchen is our way of providing social assistance to ease their burden,” said Director Senior Superintendent Joko Sulistio on Thursday (4/6/2026).

A team of 32 personnel, led by Superintendent Rusmiati Wahyu Lestari, managed cooking and distribution. Food was prepared on-site to ensure it reached evacuees warm and safe for consumption. Packages were delivered to five emergency shelter tents in an orderly manner.

Police emphasized that the initiative reflects Polri’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian service and readiness to assist communities in times of crisis. 

“We hope this support helps victims recover from the disaster,” Chief Joko remarked.
