Inp.polri.go.id - South Tangerang. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police uncovered an international narcotics syndicate on Tuesday following the seizure of 4.8 kilograms of methamphetamine smuggled from Iran during a raid in Pamulang, South Jakarta.
"This is an international crime where the evidence was shipped from Iran via couriers through Soekarno-Hatta Airport," said Inspector Andri Fajar, Unit Lead of the Narcotics Investigation Directorate, while confirming the arrests, as reported by antaranews.com
Police arrested two suspects, identified as TP (32) and C (31), who allegedly coordinated the shipment directly with a supplier based in Iran. Alongside the 4,874 grams of narcotics, officers confiscated digital scales and communication devices used to manage the distribution network within the Greater Jakarta area.
The suspects are currently undergoing intensive interrogation at the police headquarters to identify local accomplices.
