Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police intercepted the distribution of 32 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine (s smuggled via an international Malaysian syndicate. 

The major drug bust resulted in the arrest of a 32-year-old suspect identified by the initials VAR.

"Following up on reports regarding illicit drug activities on Jalan Kirana Legacy in Cilincing, North Jakarta, officers arrested the suspect on Saturday with an initial package weighing 2,169 grams," said Deputy Director of Narcotics Investigation Unit 3 Superintendent, in an official statement released on Monday (18/5/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.

Subsequent interrogations led investigators to execute a follow-up raid at an apartment complex in nearby Bekasi Regency. 

At the second location, police uncovered an additional 28 large packages containing roughly 29.7 kg of methamphetamine, alongside distribution gear including industrial cutters, weighing scales, and mobile devices.
