Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police in collaboration with the West Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police uncovered a massive clandestine home-based narcotics laboratory laboratory) producing narcotics, specifically "Zenith" tablets, in Mijen, Semarang, Central Java.

"The operation began with the arrest of a courier in North Jakarta, which led our team to a high-capacity production facility in Semarang capable of producing millions of illicit pills," said Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, the Head of Public Relations for the Metro Jaya Police, on Tuesday (14/4/2026), as reported by antaranews.com.

During the raid conducted on 9 April 2026, authorities arrested the primary suspect, identified as D, and seized 186,000 ready-to-distribute Zenith tablets alongside 1.83 tons of raw precursor materials. Investigators also confiscated automated printing machinery used for mass production. 

The suspects now face maximum penalties under the Indonesian Narcotics Law as police continue to hunt for additional members of the syndicate currently on the wanted list .
