inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection has revealed data on child trafficking cases over the past three years. This data relates to cases of child trafficking and kidnapping.

"From the data we have in the Women and Children Protection Online Information System, we recorded 91 cases and 180 children from 2022 to October 2025," said Acting Deputy Assistant for Children Needing Special Protection at the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Atwirlany Ritonga, during a press conference at the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency in South Jakarta, Tuesday (2/24/2026).

She emphasized that her party continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Social Affairs in various regions to ensure the continuity of care for child victims of human trafficking.

"Through centers in the child victims' cities of origin, we are ensuring the need for temporary shelter and also conducting family tracing so they can return to their homes," he said.

In the child trafficking case, the INP Criminal Investigation Unit arrested 12 suspects. The first cluster involved four parents selling their children, including CPS, DRH, IP, and REP. The second cluster involved the intermediary group NH, LA, S, EMT, ZH, H, BSN, and F, predominantly women.
