Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Immigration and Correctional Affairs Agus Andrianto inaugurated Hendarsam Marantoko as the new Director General of Immigration on Wednesday (1/4/2026) in Jakarta to modernize Indonesia's border policies.
"I hope the mandate you officially carry starting today is not just about fulfilling duties, but serves as a blueprint for professionalism and ethics," he said, as cited by antaranews.com.
Marantoko replaces Acting Director General Yuldi Yusman during a period of significant structural reform within the newly established ministry. The ceremony, held at the Directorate General of Immigration building, also included the swearing-in of Iwan Santoso as a legal reform advisor to strengthen public service.
The Minister urged the new leadership to prioritize internal solidarity and cross-functional collaboration to meet shifting global challenges. Marantoko is specifically tasked with implementing the ministry’s 15 Action Programs to optimize digital migration services and improve national security oversight at all international gateways.
