inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Pertamina's Vice President of Corporate Communications, Muhammad Baron, emphasized that there has been no official announcement regarding changes to the price of Pertamax fuel, so the projected fuel price increase circulating on social media cannot be relied upon.

"To date, there has been no official announcement regarding the price as of April 1, 2026," Baron said, on Monday (3/30/2026).

Baron urged the public to seek valid fuel price information from Pertamina's official channel, www.pertamina.com.

"Therefore, the information circulating about the projected fuel price increase cannot be relied upon," Baron said.

On the same occasion, Baron also expressed his support for the government's call for wise energy use.

This statement was in response to the estimated retail selling price of non-subsidized fuel for April 2026 circulating on social media.

Circulating information indicates that the selling price of Pertamax fuel will be IDR 17,850 per liter, an increase of IDR 5,550 per liter from the original selling price of IDR 12,300 per liter in March 2026.

This increase is influenced by the weakening rupiah exchange rate, which weakened from IDR 16,819 per US dollar to IDR 16,877 per US dollar.

Furthermore, circulating information indicates that the price increase for Pertamax (RON 92) is also influenced by a 62.44 percent, or US$46.15, increase in the market price index (HIP) for RON 92 fuel, from US$73.91 per barrel to US$120 per barrel; or a 62.99 percent increase (approximately IDR 4,925 per liter) from IDR 7,818 per liter to IDR 12,744 per liter.

Price increases are also expected for other gasoline products, such as Pertamax Green 95 (from IDR 12,900 per liter to IDR 19,150 per liter), Pertamax Turbo (from IDR 13,100 per liter to IDR 19,450 per liter).

Furthermore, the price of diesel fuel, Pertamina Dex, is also expected to increase from IDR 14,500 per liter to IDR 23,950 per liter; and Dexlite, from IDR 14,200 per liter to IDR 23,650 per liter.
