inp.polri.go.id - East Nusa Tenggara. The Chief of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police, Inspector General Rudi Darmoko, welcomed Indonesian Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka during his working visit to Kupang City on Monday (4/6/2026).
The visit coincided with the Vice President's attendance at the Easter Festival at the Tirosa Roundabout, one of the region's main events.
The series of activities centered on the Tirosa Roundabout, where Vice President Gibran delivered remarks, presented the Torch of Peace, and saw off the Easter Festival participants. The entire event lasted approximately one hour, with the enthusiastic attendance of the crowd.
The Head of Public Relations of the NTT Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra, stated that Rudi, along with the Indonesian Military (TNI), and relevant agencies, have prepared comprehensive security measures.
"Security measures are being implemented in an integrated manner to ensure the entire series of the Vice President's working visit runs safely, orderly, and smoothly," he said.
Henry added that the Vice President's presence at the Easter Festival is a crucial opportunity to strengthen the values of tolerance and togetherness in NTT. He emphasized that security measures not only focus on procedures but also prioritize a humane approach to the community in attendance, ensuring that all activities can be successful and have a positive impact on the people of NTT.
