inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The Bandung Sub-regional City Police reported one death and two injuries in an accident involving a box truck on Jalan Raya Nagreg on Friday (3/27/2026).

First Police Inspector Lilim, Head of Bandung Sub-regional City Police Law Enforcement Unit, stated that the victim died while crossing the road when traffic was still busy and flowing smoothly.

"The truck swerved while traffic was still flowing smoothly and hit a woman who was crossing the road, killing her," he explained in Bandung on Friday (3/27/2026).

Police immediately evacuated the victim and the truck, which swerved into the right lane, to maintain traffic flow and ensure the safety of other road users.

He also stated that joint officers evacuated the female victim to the Cicalengka Regional General Hospital (RSUD), but she died en route due to the severity of her injuries.

"The male victim suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene, while the female victim suffered serious injuries from the impact and died en route," he explained.

According to Lilim, the Hino box truck with license plate number B-9510-CXR was traveling from west Cicalengka to east Nagreg and allegedly swerved due to the driver's lack of concentration while passing the accident location.

He also emphasized the importance of road vigilance to prevent similar incidents from recurring and urged the public to remain vigilant while driving, obey traffic signs, and pay attention to pedestrian safety.

"This incident serves as a warning to all drivers to always be focused and careful, especially on busy and accident-prone roads," he said.
