inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Papua Regional Police guarantees that food aid distribution by the Logistics Agency will continue to reach conflict-prone areas to ensure the community's basic needs are met.

The Vice Chief of the Central Papua Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Gustav Urbinas, stated that rice distribution to vulnerable areas is a priority and must not be hampered, despite various challenges on the ground.

"The priority is conflict-prone areas. This distribution must still reach those areas. If there are obstacles, Bulog and the local government will communicate," said Gustav, Tuesday (5/5/2026).

He emphasized that security forces from the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) are providing full support, including securing distribution routes to ensure the safe delivery of food aid.

According to Gustav, several areas being focused on distribution include Intan Jaya, Dogiyai, Deiyai, and Paniai Regencies, which face complex geographical challenges and security dynamics.

"Cross-agency coordination is key to ensuring distribution runs smoothly and reaches its intended targets," he said.

The Head of Bulog Nabire, Abdul Azis, stated that his office continues to coordinate with security forces and local governments regarding the distribution of food aid, particularly in areas with less than ideal security and public order such as Dogiyai.

"Due to the unfavorable conditions, we are seeking the right time for safe distribution. We must ensure that aid distribution does not create problems on the ground," explained Abdul.

He explained that the distribution of food aid to Dogiyai Regency includes 467,820 kilograms of rice and 93,564 liters of cooking oil for 23,391 food aid recipients (PBP).

Each PBP, he said, received 20 kilograms of rice and four liters of cooking oil.

"So far, the distribution of food aid in Central Papua has been running smoothly, and we hope this situation can be maintained through synergy between Bulog, the local government, and security forces," explained Abdul.
