inp.polri.go.id - South Tangerang. South Tangerang Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Boy Jumalolo, explained that the Head of the Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Senior Inspector Pardiman, is a witness in the case of possession and distribution of 200 etomidate cartridges.
"The Head of the Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit is not involved because we ordered him to testify at the Criminal Investigation Unit when the individual with the initials DD was arrested," Boy said in Tangerang on Tuesday.
He explained that Pardiman was not involved in the alleged drug abuse case.
Boy said that Pardiman were ordered to appear at the Criminal Investigation Unit along with other personnel as witnesses during the arrest of the individual with the initials DD.
Furthermore, Boy explained that Pardiman is currently undergoing questioning by the Professional and Security Division of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police in his capacity as Head of Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit, which oversees members of his unit.
"The person concerned is being questioned by the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Professional and Security Division because he is the head of his unit and has a supervisory role over his members," he said.
In this case, the South Tangerang Sub-regional Police support the legal process and the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's firm measures to eradicate drug abuse and illicit trafficking, including if any police officers are proven to have committed violations.
"We remain firm in eradicating narcotics, as directed by the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Chief," Boy said.
Previously, the Drugs Criminal Investigation of Indonesian National Police (INP) arrested Pardiman, Head of the South Tangerang Sub-regional Police Drugs Criminal Investigation, in connection with an alleged drug trafficking case.
The Director of Drugs Criminal Investigation of INP, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso stated that Pardiman is suspected of involvement in drug trafficking, drug abuse, and abuse of authority in drug law enforcement.
