inp.polri.go.id - Batam. The Riau Islands Regional Police intensified Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) at Hang Nadim International Airport in Batam to anticipate a surge in passengers during the national holiday return flow on Sunday (3/29/2026).

During the patrol, personnel conducted a pre-pattern inspection roll call (APP), coordinated with airport management, and inspected safety facilities and infrastructure.

Police personnel urged visitors to ensure the safety of their families, especially children, and reminded parking attendants to maintain order in the parking area. Dialogue patrols were also conducted, providing passengers with police services through the 110 call center.

The Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Pricillia Ohei, stated that this activity is a preventative measure to ensure the safety and smooth flow of passengers during the return flow.

"We are striving to ensure the entire return flow runs safely, orderly, and smoothly, so that the public can travel comfortably," she said.

According to her, based on data from Hang Nadim Airport in Batam, there has been an increase in flight activity and passenger numbers ahead of the return flow. On March 27, 2026, 113 flights were recorded with a total of 18,184 passengers, while on March 28, 2026, this increased to 130 flights with a total of 19,931 passengers.

She conveyed that activity reports indicate that the situation at Hang Nadim Airport in Batam is safe and conducive, and no significant incidents have been reported. The presence of police personnel also provides a sense of security for those traveling during the return flow of national holidays.

Furthermore, the Head of Public Relations of the Riau Islands Regional Police urged the public who need police assistance or wish to file a complaint to contact the 110 Call Center or use the Polri Super Apps application. Furthermore, the public is reminded not to clear land by burning to prevent forest and land fires.
