inp.polri.go.id - West Java. The West Java Regional Police accompanied West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi in repatriating 12 women from West Java suspected of being victims of human trafficking (TPPO) in Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.
Head of Public Relations for the West Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Hendra Rochmawan, stated that the repatriation demonstrates the state's commitment to protecting its citizens suspected of being victims of exploitation.
"The Directorate of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (PPA) and Human Trafficking of the West Java Regional Police directly accompanied the Governor of West Java in repatriating the entertainment workers in Sikka. This is part of the protection and recovery efforts for the victims," said Hendra on Monday (2/23/2026).
The repatriation of the victims was carried out in stages, escorted by police officers and assisted by relevant agencies to ensure their safety and recovery.
The West Java Regional Police also confirmed that the legal process related to the crime is ongoing to identify those responsible in the case.
"We are here. We ensure that the victims receive maximum protection and that the legal process against those responsible continues," concluded Hendra.
He explained that the case is currently being handled by the Sikka Sub-regional Police based on Police Report Number: LP/B/13/II/2026/SPKT/Sikka Police/East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police dated February 3, 2026.
Hendra added that after being picked up and returned to West Java, the victims will undergo medical examinations and psychological support before returning them to their homes.
