inp.polri.go.id - East Nusa Tenggara. The resolution of the alleged illegal investment case handled by Sub-Directorate 2 of the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police's Criminal Investigation Directorate has entered a new phase after the police implemented a restorative justice mechanism during a case presentation held on Wednesday (4/8/2026).
This measure was taken to recover the losses of approximately 40 victims, who reportedly suffered a total of IDR 700 million. The RJ approach was chosen due to the good faith of the accused parties in accepting responsibility.
The case itself began in December 2021, when the complainants, including Selly Kameo and Mariana Kelly, participated in an online app-based investment promoted by the accused, identified as S.
The internal structure of the investment involved HO as the owner, AW as the CEO, and H as the administrator. The victims were promised large profits by purchasing IDR 2,000 worth of coins, which they claimed would be listed on Pancake Swap at an initial price of IDR 25,000 per coin.
However, the reality did not live up to expectations. In January 2023, the traded price of the coins reached only around IDR 13,000 before plummeting to around IDR 300 per coin. The situation worsened when the app became inaccessible in July 2023.
This prompted Mariana Kelly to file an official complaint on May 8, 2025, which was followed up by investigators from the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation through a series of investigations.
Following the RJ, the complainants expressed their appreciation for the police's assistance. Victims' representatives, Mariana Kelly, along with Debora Ludji and Martinus Lodo Ratu, expressed their hope that the process would truly ensure recovery for all victims.
Meanwhile, the NTT Regional Police also urged the public to be more careful in choosing digital investments and to ensure the legality of platforms to avoid similar losses in the future.
