inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police stated that there was no civilian involvement in the acid attack on activist and Deputy Coordinator of KontraS, Andrie Yunus.

The Director of Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Iman Imanuddin, stated that the case had been handed over to the Military Police of Indonesian National Military (TNI).

"As of the handover process, we have not found any civilian involvement," Iman said during a meeting with Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (3/31/2026).

He emphasized that the police will always be committed to law enforcement to ensure accountability and respect for human rights.

"We will continue to carry out such law enforcement efforts," he said.

However, he stated that every law enforcement action taken will always be based on legal facts obtained from the investigation.

Therefore, he invited all parties to pray for Andrie Yunus' recovery and his return to normal activities. He also thanked all parties for their input and corrections to the police.

"All input and corrections will serve as guidelines and medicine for us to do better in serving the community, nation, and state," he said.
