inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police returned a motorcycle belonging to Haerudin, which had gone missing in Warakas, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. The motorcycle was seized after police suspected it had been shipped without proper documentation via a cargo service to Jambi.
The vehicle was returned on Monday (7/6/2026). The motorcycle was the result of a motorcycle theft case handled by the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police.
The Vice Director of Criminal Investigation at the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Danang Setiyo Pambudi Sukarno, stated that returning the motorcycle demonstrates police's commitment to prosecuting motorcycle theft cases and ensuring that evidence is returned to its rightful owner.
"Today, we returned the victim's motorcycle, which he uses for work every day. Losing the motorcycle was certainly a huge loss for him. Thank God, the motorcycle was found and we returned it to its owner," said Danang on Tuesday (7/7/2026).
Danang explained that the motorcycle was previously reported missing on Thursday (6/18/2026). Based on their investigation, police received information about a motorcycle being shipped out of the region via a cargo service.
Officers then coordinated with the cargo company and inspected the vehicle. The vehicle's details matched those of Haerudin's motorcycle, which had previously been reported missing.
Police then secured the vehicle for further investigation. Danang added that they are still investigating the two individuals suspected of involvement, who are currently on the wanted list.
