inp.polri.go.id - Bengkulu. Bengkulu Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mardiyono, inspected locations affected by extreme weather, including heavy rain and wind, in Bengkulu City on Monday (4/6/2026).
Mardiyono, accompanied by other key police officials, inspected the affected locations on Karang Indah street, Sumur Dewa Subdistrict, Selebar District, Bengkulu City, and the Bukit Hijau Lestari Housing Complex, Pekan Sabtu Subdistrict, Bengkulu City.
During the inspection, Mardiyono deployed approximately 100 joint personnel from the Bengkulu Regional Police Mobile Brigade Corps and the Bengkulu Regional Police Traffic and Public Order Agency (Dirsamapta) to clear fallen trees and mud blocking road access.
"The Bukit Hijau Lestari housing complex is one of the locations affected by heavy rain accompanied by wind, with many fallen trees and flooding inundating residents' homes. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide assistance to residents, especially those severely affected," said Mardiyono.
He also inspected the Bengkulu Police Mobile Brigade Corps dormitory, which was submerged and flooded. On this occasion, Mardiyono provided uniforms to the Bhabinkamtibmas (community police officers) assigned to Sumur Dewa Village, Selebar District, Bengkulu City.
"This assistance demonstrates the Bhabinkamtibmas' dedication to assisting residents in emergencies and also serves to encourage the Bhabinkamtibmas on duty in the field," said Mardiyono.
