Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Head of Public Relations, Senior Superintendent Budi Hermanto, stated that security will be enhanced for two international matches: Solomon Islands vs. Bulgaria at 3:30 PM and the Indonesian National Team vs. Saint Kitts & Nevis at 8:00 PM.
He stated that security will be focused comprehensively, not only inside the stadium but also in the area around GBK, including the arrival and departure routes for spectators.
"Officers will also be stationed at the players' and officials' accommodations to ensure the entire event runs safely and smoothly," Budi explained.
He added that his team has anticipated various potential risks, ranging from crowd congestion, the use of invalid tickets, and potential disturbances by unscrupulous supporters.
"We urge the public and supporters to work together to maintain order, follow the directions of officers on the field, and ensure the entire match runs safely and comfortably," he said.
Regarding traffic, Budi stated that they will implement situational traffic management measures to adapt to conditions on the ground, particularly during the arrival and departure of spectators. Non-essential members of the public are urged to avoid the GBK area to reduce congestion, ensuring that all activities can proceed safely, orderly, and conducively.
