inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police began preparing a number of strategic measures to anticipate increased traffic flow as public on Monday, March 30, 2026 on congestion-prone areas.

The Director of Traffic for the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Komarudin, stated that traffic management and security measures had been prepared to address potential post-holiday traffic congestion. 

"Starting tomorrow, activities will resume as usual. We have prepared security measures to anticipate congestion," he said on Sunday (3/29/2026).

He explained that anticipatory measures had begun on Sunday night, particularly with the re-permission of three-axle vehicles. This situation is expected to have a significant impact on traffic volumes on several roads.

According to him, the Tanjung Priok area is one of the areas predicted to experience increased traffic congestion due to the activity of these freight vehicles. 

"We have begun taking anticipatory measures since tonight, particularly regarding the resumption of three-axle vehicles, which have the potential to cause congestion, especially in the Tanjung Priok area," he explained.

Furthermore, Komarudin urged the public to continue to obey traffic regulations and pay full attention while on the road. 

"We remind the public to obey the traffic law and pay attention to the situation on the ground, especially during peak hours at the start of the week, to avoid congestion," he concluded.
