inp.polri.go.id - South Kalimantan. To maintain stable supplies and prices of basic necessities after the holy month of Ramadan, the South Kalimantan Regional Police Food Task Force conducted routine inspections at Kuripan Market, Banjarmasin, on Monday (4/6/2026).

During the inspection, the team monitored various strategic food commodities such as rice, beef, chicken, eggs, Minyakita brand cooking oil, granulated sugar, chilies, and onions. Officers also conducted direct dialogue with vendors and buyers to monitor price developments and stock availability.
Based on preliminary monitoring, it was found that the availability of staple foods at Kuripan Market remains secure. Prices for a number of commodities are also relatively stable, although there have been slight increases for some items. Furthermore, the availability of Minyakita cooking oil is guaranteed to be at the set price.
"We routinely visit the market to ensure there is no price gouging or hoarding. Today, stocks are generally secure and prices remain reasonable. We will continue to monitor to ensure the public is not disadvantaged," said Police Assistant Superintendent Oliestha Ageng Wicaksana, Head of Sub-Directorate I of the Criminal Investigation Directorate of the South Kalimantan Regional Police.
This inspection is part of the South Kalimantan Regional Police's ongoing food security and consumer protection program. The public is also urged to immediately report any indication of shortages or unusual price increases in the market.
