inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto expressed his gratitude and pride at the dedication of the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) to the community through the construction of basic infrastructure such as bridges and clean water sources.
Prabowo made this statement during a virtual speech from the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta at the inauguration of 3,395 bridges built by the TNI and INP and 3,000 clean water sources built by the Indonesian Army, which was held centrally on Bayah-Cikotok Road, West Bayah Village, Lebak Regency, Banten, on Thursday (8/13/2026).
"Ladies and gentlemen, today I am proud, today I am truly moved. Today we prove that we are a truly united nation. A nation of mutual cooperation, a nation capable of harnessing our own strengths to work as hard as possible for the prosperity and well-being of the people," said the President.
Prabowo said he was moved because the construction demonstrated the dedication of the Indonesian Military (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (INP), which was directly felt by the community.
He stated that the construction of thousands of bridges and clean water sources was a form of their dedication and devotion to the community.
Prabowo emphasized that this dedication also proved that the TNI is the people's army and the INP is the people's police, born from the people, fighting alongside the people, and providing the best for the people.
The President assessed that this spirit aligns with the character of Indonesia as a nation, which is united and relies on mutual cooperation as a strength to work as hard as possible for the prosperity and well-being of the people.
Prabowo also expressed his appreciation for the TNI and INP personnel who worked day and night under challenging conditions to complete these various construction projects.
The President added that the government does have many strategic development plans to make Indonesia a modern, advanced, and prosperous nation.
However, this development must not cause the government to neglect the basic needs of the people.
"Although our aspirations are grand, our plans are grand, we must not forget the small things," he said.
