inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto expressed his appreciation for the Indonesian Military (TNI) and the Indonesian National Police (INP) who have built 3,395 bridges and 3,000 clean water sources in various regions as part of their community service.
"Ladies and gentlemen gathered in Lebak Regency and Bekasi, today we inaugurate 3,395 bridges built by the TNI and INP, and 3,000 clean water sources built by the Indonesian Army," Prabowo said during a virtual speech at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, during the inauguration ceremony held centrally on Bayah-Cikotok road, Bayah Barat Village, Lebak Regency, Banten, on Thursday (8/13/2026).
Prabowo expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Army (KSAD), General Maruli Simanjuntak, the Chief of INP, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and all TNI and INP personnel involved in the construction.
According to him, the construction of thousands of bridges and clean water sources is a form of the TNI and INP's dedication and devotion to the community.
"I am proud of you all. You have carried out a mission, a mission of service, a mission of devotion to the people," said the President.
Prabowo assessed that this work demonstrates that the TNI and INP are capable of making direct contributions to the community, including through development that addresses basic needs.
The President said that this development was carried out through collaborative work and mutual cooperation, which are the strengths of the Indonesian nation.
"Today we prove that we are a truly united nation. A nation of mutual cooperation, a nation capable of harnessing our own strengths to work as hard as possible for the prosperity and well-being of the people," he said.
According to the President, the development of basic infrastructure, such as bridges and water sources, is a crucial part of efforts to improve public welfare.
Prabowo stated that the government still requires significant investment to carry out various development projects, but the development of basic community needs must also be a priority.
