Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto has signaled his intent to hold further discussions regarding the reform of the Indonesian National Police (INP), even as the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission (KPRP) officially concludes its task.

The commission recently submitted a 3,000-page final report containing strategic recommendations for institutional improvements.

"The President asked, 'Oh, is it finished already?' and said, 'Let's meet again, we will arrange more interesting discussions,'" said KPRP member Mahfud MD, quoting the President during a press conference on Wednesday (6/5/2026), as cited by antaranews.com..

While the ad-hoc commission's formal duties have ended, he indicated that the President may seek follow-up actions to implement the findings.

General (ret.) Ahmad Dofiri, a KPRP member and Special Advisor to the President, confirmed he will oversee the implementation of these recommendations, which range from managerial strengthening to logistics.

"For example, in logistics, how to meet the minimum essential standards for Polri equipment," he explained, noting that follow-ups could involve new Presidential Instructions or Decrees .
