The facility honors the late labor activist and serves as a historic memorial for Indonesia's worker movement.
President Prabowo, who named Marsinah a National Hero on November 10, 2025, added that he felt deeply honored to fulfill labor organizations' request to establish the site, according to antaranews.com.
Built at Marsinah's childhood home, the museum preserves her personal belongings and archives. Marsinah was a prominent labor activist who mysteriously disappeared on May 5, 1993, during strike negotiations, and was found dead four days later.
