President Prabowo Subianto announced on Saturday (16/5/2026) that he will award the Bintang Mahaputera honorary medal to Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Indonesian Military (TNI) Commander General Agus Subiyanto to recognize their strong institutional leadership and outstanding operational achievements.

"The INP is achieving great milestones. The INP Chief and the TNI Commander have not yet received the Bintang Mahaputera. President Prabowo will be the one to give them those medals," he said during a simultaneous corn harvest and food security building groundbreaking ceremony in Tuban, East Java, as cited by antaranews.com.

The President praised Chief Sigito's structural innovation in organizing clean and orderly logistical networks for the flagship Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program. He emphasized that successful leadership within defense institutions deserves high state appreciation, citing a similar logic when Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman received the Bintang Jasa Utama for achieving food self-sufficiency ahead of schedule.
