inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Presidential Palace will not intervene in the law enforcement process related to the alleged corruption case involving former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus), Febrie Adriansyah.

"We will leave that matter to the legal authorities," said Special Advisor to the President for Communications and Media, Hasan Nasbi, to reporters at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Monday (7/20/2026).

He emphasized that the government respects the independence of the law enforcement agencies handling the case. According to him, the government is not interfering at all in the legal realm involving the former Attorney General's Corps official.

"Because the government is not intervening in law enforcement in this case. Let that be the authority of investigators and law enforcement officials," he said.

Previously, the Anti-Corruption Corps of the Indonesian National Police (INP) had named former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah, a suspect in three corruption cases. These cases include alleged corruption and money laundering (TPPU) in the handling of PT Asabri, Krakatau Steel, and PLN coal procurement.

Although the case files and evidence have now been submitted to the Attorney General's Office for further action, the prosecutor's office has not yet detained Febrie, citing the ongoing investigation.

Furthermore, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi also requested that the legal proceedings against Febrie not be linked to President Prabowo Subianto.

Prasetyo, who is also the Presidential Spokesperson, stated that all legal proceedings against Febrie must be submitted to the applicable mechanisms.
