He believes this phenomenon will not be difficult for the police to uncover, as it is already very obvious and visible. According to him, the Cyber ​​Criminal Investigation Directorate of INP can investigate this phenomenon.

"I ask the INP Cyber ​​Criminal Investigation Directorate to provide full support to the Ministry of Communication and Digital in eradicating online gambling spam," said Sahroni, Thursday (7/2/2026).

According to him, this will be closely monitored and criticized by his office, as social media comment sections, from mass media accounts to government agency accounts, are filled with online gambling advertisements.

"Even live streams of DPR RI Commission III meetings are often filled with comments promoting online gambling. It's very disturbing," continued Sahroni.

He also asked the police to help uncover these online gambling operators. He believes the spam is bot accounts being controlled on a massive scale.

"I ask the police to track the IP addresses of these operators and arrest them all immediately. So, don't just delete the comments. The government must be firm because practices like this not only disrupt the digital space but also become part of the online gambling ecosystem that is damaging society," conclude Sahroni.
