The Mobile Brigade Corps Commander, Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto, explained that three young men were first apprehended while personnel were conducting patrols and inspections around the Rajawali Public Gas Station (SPBU) in Pademangan.

"The three men attempted to flee when they saw officers arriving at the scene," he said on Sunday (7/19/2026).

Henik explained that based on initial investigations, the three young men provided statements that officers are still investigating regarding their alleged involvement in a violent theft.

"For further legal proceedings, the three were handed over to the Pademangan Sector Police. Investigators are still reviewing their statements and their connection to reports and criminal incidents that occurred in the jurisdiction," he said.

Several hours after the initial raid, a joint patrol team apprehended three other youths in the Jati V street area of ​​Tanjung Priok.

During an inspection of the location, officers found evidence in the form of two plastic clips containing a substance suspected to be synthetic tobacco.

"The evidence was immediately confiscated, and the three youths were handed over to the North Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit," he said.

He explained that these ongoing patrols are part of a preventive and repressive approach to potential disturbances to public order and security.

"The presence of personnel in the field aims to restrict the movement of criminals while providing protection to the community. Law enforcement must go hand in hand with preventive efforts through education, family supervision, and environmental awareness to minimize the potential for disturbances to public order and security," he said.
