Inp.polri.go.id - Banjarmasin. South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Inspector General Dr. Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan awarded honors to the Tanah Laut Sub-regional Police Criminal Investigation Unit on Friday (3/7/2026) for uncovering a land mafia syndicate that inflicted Rp 23.3 billion in losses.

"This is a major case that deserves recognition for our members' hard work," Chief Rosyanto said. "Increase cooperation with the National Land Agency so that every investigative step is precise and offenders face appropriate punishment."

Led by Crime Unit Chief Police Assistant Senior Inspector Prasada Tuhuteru, a five-officer team exposed a fraudulent land transaction scheme operating from 2016 to 2020. The syndicate used forged documents to deceive agricultural firm PT Wiratama Lautan Rejeki over a 500-hectare plot, which the National Land Agency (BPN) measurements eventually revealed contained 211 duplicate and 94 fictitious land titles. 

Three suspects, identified as BL, BD, and AS, have been detained.
