Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. The Directorate of Drug Investigation of the South Sumatra Regional Police destroyed confiscated narcotics from 25 illicit drug trafficking cases in Palembang, valued at approximately Rp 2.29 billion, on Wednesday (10/6/2026). 

The destroyed evidence included 2,973.41 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 1,054 ecstasy pills, 142 milliliters of etomidate, and 167.91 milliliters of synthetic marijuana.

"Every gram of narcotics we seize and destroy means there are residents we have successfully protected," said Deputy Director of Drug Investigation Superintendent God Parlasro Sinaga. "This is about saving the future of the younger generation and maintaining social resilience in South Sumatra."

The illicit substances were seized from 37 suspects across multiple regencies. Authorities estimated that the operations successfully saved 34,252 people from drug abuse.

Police officials urged the public to actively report suspicious drug activities to help dismantle local trafficking networks.
