Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. South Sumatra Regional Police, Eastern Sumatra Customs and the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency Narcotics Investigation Centre Task Force foiled a drug distribution attempt during a 48-hour joint operation.

Officers confiscated 11,443 ecstasy pills and 1.3 kilograms of methamphetamine.

“Evidence seized included thousands of ecstasy pills and nearly 1.4 kilograms of meth intended for distribution in South Sumatra,” said Narcotics Task Force Director Senior Superintendent Yulian Perdana over the weekend.

The case began with the arrest of a suspect, identified as PB, at a boarding house in Palembang. Controlled delivery methods led police to Lahat and Empat Lawang, where additional meth packages were found. Investigators believe the network used courier services to disguise shipments.

Police also identified links to a fugitive in Ogan Ilir and arrested a recipient in Bogor, West Java. Authorities confirmed the investigation will continue to dismantle the entire network.
