inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Health expressed optimism about achieving 46 percent coverage of the Free Health Check (CKG) by 2026, following an evaluation of the 2025 CKG Program, which reached 70.8 million people, or 24.9 percent of the population.

"The proportion of free health check recipients across all age groups is 46 percent of the total population," said Aji Muhawarman, Head of the Ministry of Health's Communication and Public Information Bureau, Tuesday (1/6/2026).

Aji explained that the CKG achievement in the first year was the largest in the Indonesian health system, as it was the first time the government had provided a health check program open to the entire population.

The ministry has evaluated the implementation of the 2025 CKG Program with relevant ministries and institutions, academics, and development partners. The evaluation results, said Aji, identified several key challenges that prevented the target from being achieved.

The main challenges include limited public awareness of the program and varying levels of commitment from local governments, resulting in some regions achieving less than 80 percent.

"The implementation of the CKG is still focused on services at community health centers and has not yet reached the wider community who do not visit them," said Aji.

Furthermore, the availability of equipment, consumable medical supplies, and human resources is uneven, so not all community health centers can provide comprehensive services.

Moreover Aji also highlights how suboptimal the recordings of CKG, which hampers the achievement report.
