inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate foiled the trafficking of approximately 4.3 kilograms of marijuana in Depok, West Java. The arrest resulted in the arrest of a suspect identified as MA (30) on Tuesday evening (3/10/2026).
The arrest was made by Unit 4, Sub-Directorate 1 of Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate, after receiving information from the public regarding alleged marijuana abuse in Depok City. At approximately 9:30 p.m., officers apprehended suspect MA (30) on Parung Highway, Bojongsari Lama, Depok City.
During a search, investigators found a plastic bag containing marijuana. Following the investigation, officers then proceeded to the suspect's residence.
"There, officers found a cloth containing marijuana, which is suspected to be related to the suspect," said Head of Unit 4, Police Senior Inspector Joko Arianto, Friday (3/13/2026).
From this discovery, investigators confiscated evidence in the form of marijuana weighing 4,385 grams.
"On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 9:30 PM in Bojong Sari, Depok City, we arrested a marijuana abuser identified as MA (30) and recovered 4.3 kg of marijuana as evidence," he explained.
Joko urged the public not to use drugs and to work together to eradicate drugs. The perpetrator and the items were taken to police headquarters for further investigation.
