inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Transportation Ministry to review the condition of public transport facilities ahead of Ramadan homecoming season.

Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi stated that inspections of transportation infrastructure and facilities are being conducted to ensure the safe, smooth, and secure journey leading up to the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday.

"We are conducting ramp checks for the preparation of infrastructure related to transportation modes, including land, sea, air, and rail," said Minister Dudy on Wednesday (2/11/2026).

In addition to checking transportation facilities, the Ministry of Transportation is also reviewing the toll roads and national arterial roads typically used by the people.

"We are coordinating with the Ministry of Public Works to ensure safe and comfortable travel for those traveling on these two roads," explained Minister Dudy.

The Ministry of Transportation is coordinating with the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps and the Directorate General of Highways to prepare transportation arrangements for the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The government is striving to help citizens travel safely, comfortably, and orderly during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, including by implementing a policy of discounted transportation service fares and a free homecoming program.

As part of the free homecoming program, the Ministry of Transportation has prepared 401 buses to 34 destination cities in nine provinces. In addition, the ministry will facilitate 50,000 passengers using sea transportation and 28,182 passengers using train services.

"In line with the Free Homecoming Program, ramp checks are also being conducted continuously," said the Minister of Transportation.
