Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral Facebook post claiming the Indonesian National Police (INP) Headquarters) canceled the suspect designation for Febrie Adriansyah in a corruption case is a hoax.

A fact-checking review by Kompas.com found no credible news reports supporting the claims. Contrary to the viral narrative, police actually named the former Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) a suspect in a major graft case on 11 July  2026.

"The INP Headquarters has designated Febrie as a suspect in a suspected corruption and money laundering case," the official report verified, linking the case to coal management for steam power plants, PT Asabri, and PT Krakatau Steel.

The legal status upgrade occurred shortly after Febrie resigned from his high-ranking position at the Attorney General's Office.
