Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police have taken over the investigation into a tragic boarding school fire in Central Lombok from the local police, following a recommendation from House of Representatives Commission III.
The incident, which occurred in November 2025, left two students severely injured and resulted in the death of 13-year-old NSS.
"As requested during the hearing with House Commission III, I have ordered the case to be taken over. We will immediately follow up on this recommendation," said West Nusa Tenggara Police Chief Inspector General Kalingga Rendra Raharja on Tuesday (14/7/2026).
The Central Lombok Police had previously named the school's principal, identified as AMR (55), and a senior student, identified as MR (15). Investigators have questioned 20 witnesses, including criminal and medical experts, to resolve the case.
