inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. A witness, Resa Rohendi, a boarding house caretaker, revealed that the victim of the alleged kidnapping and assault, identified as YTR (29), had hardly ever left her room during his three-month stay in Cileunyi, Bandung Regency.

Resa said that when the victim first came with the perpetrator, she was already struggling to walk and had to be assisted by the perpetrator to enter the room.

"When she first arrived, she was already struggling to walk, so he (the perpetrator) helped her into the room. She has hardly ever been seen leaving the room for three months," Rsa said, Tuesday (6/23/2026).

He said the couple had arrived to rent the room and claimed to be husband and wife.

The manager then asked them to show their marriage certificate, as required by the regulations for married couples, but they never showed the document after occupying the room for more than a month.

Resa said the suspect initially displayed no suspicious behavior until his demeanor changed after some time. He often acted arrogantly towards those around him.

"It was fine at first. But after a month, his behavior became arrogant. He would get easily triggered if people passed by without greeting him," he said.

According to him, the boarding house manager was initially concerned as the suspect often became angry for no apparent reason, which they feared would disturb other occupants and the surrounding community.

Meanwhile, the West Java Regional Police have formed a special team to hunt down the suspected perpetrator of the kidnapping and assault of YTR, who is still being sought.
