Inp.polri.go.id - Tangerang. Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Nusron Wahid has revoked the Rights to Build (SHGB) and Ownership Certificates (SHM) for sea fences in northern coastal Tangerang, Banten, as they were deemed procedurally and substantively flawed.

“Based on our review, areas beyond the coastline cannot be privatized. These certificates are procedurally and materially defective,” he said during a press conference on Wednesday (22/1/2025).

Under Government Regulation No. 15 of 2021, certificates less than five years old can be revoked without a court order. The ministry identified 266 rights to build and ownership certificates, including 234 under PT Intan Agung Makmur and 20 under PT Cahaya Inti Sentosa, as improperly issued.

The Ministry has summoned survey officers and private survey agencies involved in the issuance process for an ethics review.
