Inp.polri.go.id - Badung. One Australian MAN was killed and another injured in a shooting incident at Casa Santisya 1 villa in Mengwi, Badung, Bali, early Saturday morning (14/6/2025).

“We received the report and are currently conducting a crime scene investigation and gathering witness statements,” said Badung Sub-regional Police Chief Superintendent M. Arif Batubara, as quoted by antaranews.com.

Bali Regional Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Ariasandy explained that the suspect entered the villa around 12.15 am local time. The Australian man, identified as Zivan R.  confronted the intruder, prompting gunfire. His wife, identified as GJ, witnessed the attack from the bedroom and later found him unresponsive.

Fellow Australian, identified as Sanar G, in a nearby room, was also shot and discovered bleeding heavily. Victim GJ administered first aid before alerting neighbors. 

The body of Zivan R was transported to Sanglah Hospital, while victim Sanar G was taken to BIMC Hospital, Kuta. Police are investigating the motive and identity of the perpetrator, who fled the scene.
